Writing a Novel

Question: What I’m really wondering is how long it took for you to write your novel? I know it’s still making the publishing pitch rounds out there, but when did you begin working on the book in earnest and how long did it take you to finish? Did you edit it yourself or are you waiting for a contract first?
 

Ah, the life of a writer…. For those of you who don’t know it, I recently finished a Young Adult (YA) novel and I’m hoping that it’ll be published some day.

It took a while to write. In some ways, I’ve been waiting thirty years to write this book, but I had to get through pesky things like college and graduate school and finding a job first….. read more »
